  • What will I need to take with me to the refuge?
  • What support will I receive?
  • Can any of my family members visit me?
  • What conditions will I have to live in?
  • Will the refuge be able to cater for my cultural and religious needs?
  • Will I be safe?
  • Is 24 hour support provided?
  • I am different from other women that need refuge space
  • What support will be provided to my children?
  • Will I be able to take my belongings?
  • How long will I have to stay in the refuge for?
  • What type of move-on accommodation can I expect to get?
  • Can I bring my pets with me, and if not who will look after them?
  • Will I have to sleep on the couch?
  • I can't afford to come into a refuge and pay my other bills
  • I will lose all that I have if I come into a refuge
  • If I do not have significant injuries, will they believe me?
  • If I am not being abused by a spouse, the refuge will not accept me as escaping domestic abuse?
